Diplomacy must build the necessary bridges for the Republic of Moldova to confidently join the European family. Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu made the statement at today's meeting of heads of diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and brings together ambassadors and heads of consular offices. At the meeting, priorities of foreign policy and objectives for the upcoming period were discussed.

In his message, the Prime Minister emphasized the role of diplomacy in Moldova's accession to the European Union and the importance of coordinated action by diplomatic missions in promoting national interests and the country's image abroad.

"Diplomacy must build the necessary bridges for the Republic of Moldova to confidently join the European family. We rely on diplomatic missions to make known what Moldova can offer the European Union and to strengthen support in the accession process," stated Alexandru Munteanu.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi mentioned that discussions focused on our country's strategic objective - accession to the European Union.

"In the current context of EU integration, it is extremely important to emphasize the necessity of an active and coherent diplomacy, adapted to the regional and international context, as well as the role of diplomatic missions in strengthening the dialogue with external partners," highlighted Mihai Popșoi.

The annual meeting of the heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Moldova abroad offers a framework for analyzing regional and global developments, consolidating inter-institutional coordination, and setting action priorities for diplomatic missions and consular offices for the upcoming period, with a focus on advancing Moldova's European path, the country's security, and economic development.
