Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of the State Administration of Roads (ASD), at a today’s meeting with the entrepreneur, discussed the implementation of the contracts on the restoration of the bypass road of the central Sangerei town and the road segment Prepelita – Saratenii Vechi, which is part of the high-way R6 Chisinau-Orhei-Balti.
According to ASD, the works on rehabilitation of the national road are carried out on a length of about 30 km and a progress of works of about 16 per cent is registered.
"The project on restoration of the R6 national road has the goal to ensure the easy movement to the northern capital of Moldova (Balti city) in conditions of safety and releasing of the local roads from the movement of high-tonnage vehicles. The carrying out of the contracts signed is regularly monitored; we provide needed support for fulfilling the works in line with the tender books and the contractual terms established,’’ the ASD acting director general, Veaceslav Potop, said.
The works for rehabilitation of the two road segments have a value of about 36 million euros, allocated by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development to Moldova, within the Programme from Roads’ Sector.
