Modern sanitation system to be built in Glodeni
Chisinau, August 23 /MOLDPRES/- The North Regional Development Agency, the Glodeni District Council and the executing company signed a joint venture contract within the infrastructure project that provides for modern sanitation systems for the citizens of the Glodeni district. The program is financed from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL) and is to be executed until the fall of 2023.
According to the contract, within 12 months, the contractor undertook to carry out construction works and installation of a new sewage treatment plant in the city of Glodeni. Also, the existing sewage pumping station will be renovated and 3 km of sewage networks will be installed.
"Thus, about 19 thousand inhabitants of the city of Glodeni and the villages of Hâjdieni, Danu and Dușmani will benefit from quality sanitation services. 561 economic agents and 25 public institutions from the mentioned localities will also benefit from the same services. The beneficiaries of this investment claim that, following the completion of the project, 12 new jobs will be created in Glodeni", indicates ADR Nord.
The value of the joint venture contract is 18.44 million lei (over 900 thousand euros), from FNDRL sources. The contribution of the Glodeni District Council and the Glodeni City Hall is 10% of the allocated amount.
This year, from the sources of the FNDRL, ADR Nord is implementing six new water supply and sanitation (AAS) projects in the north of the country, one of which involves the development of a pre-feasibility study targeting 33 localities in the districts of Dondușeni, Soroca and Ocnița. One of the six investment measures in the field of AAS refers to the project "Modern sanitation systems for the citizens of the Glodeni district", submitted by the Glodeni District Council within the Call for the selection of regional development projects for the period 2021-2023.
