PHOTO // Moldova captures audience at International Gastronomy Festival in Paris

These days, Moldova is participating in the 7th edition of the International Gastronomy Festival in Paris, a prestigious event that kicked off on 11 September, bringing together culinary cultures from around the world.

Our country's stand impresses with a combination of tradition, authenticity and creativity, being organized with the support of the Embassy of Moldova in France and the Moldovan diaspora. Visitors have the opportunity to discover dishes prepared by Fuior Gourmet team from Chișinău, as well as artisanal sweets offered by diaspora entrepreneurs: Bakery Café, Lilia Traiteur, Nadejda Groza, ETNIC Moldova and Galerie Moldave à Paris.

The wine sector is represented by internationally renowned producers – Cricova, Purcari, Castel Mimi, Asconi and Chateau Vartely, bringing a genuine tour of Moldovan wine to the capital of France.

Moldova's participation was made possible by the active involvement of the Moldovan community in Paris, especially those who contributed to the organization of the stand: Galerie Moldave, Lia Chirinciuc and Elena Călugăreanu. Ambassador of Moldova to France Corina Călugăru directly supported the presence, emphasizing the importance of promoting the country's image through gastronomy and culture, according to the National Tourism Office.

Moldova's stand attracted the attention of distinguished guests, including French gastronomic masters from Les Toques Françaises association, and personalities such as Pascal Tebibel, Director of Institutional Relations at LOXAM, and Steve Gentili, President of the Francophone Business Forum.

The event includes an artistic program that complements the culinary experience.

The International Gastronomy Festival in Paris will continue until September 15, offering the public the opportunity to discover and enjoy the culinary and cultural identity of Moldova.
