VIDEO // Wines of Moldova promoted at ProWein 2026 in Germany: wineries and brandy producers at one of world’s most important exhibitions

The national stands of the Republic of Moldova were inaugurated at ProWein 2026, considered one of the most prestigious international events dedicated to the trade in wines and spirits. The exhibition is taking place from 15–17 March in the city of Düsseldorf, Germany, and brings together producers, importers, distributors and experts from the wine industry from around the world.

Attending the inauguration ceremony of the national stands of the Republic of Moldova were the Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Ludmila Catlabuga, the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to Germany, Aureliu Ciocoi, as well as the Consul General of the Republic of Moldova in Frankfurt am Main, Mihail Căpățînă. The officials visited the stands of Moldovan producers and discussed with representatives of the wine sector about opportunities for promoting and expanding exports to foreign markets.

At this year’s edition of the exhibition, the Republic of Moldova is represented by 46 wineries and seven brandy producers, who are presenting their products within two national stands: Wine of Moldova and Divin (Spirits of Moldova).

The producers are taking part in professional tastings, business meetings and discussions with specialists in international trade, having the opportunity to establish new partnerships and promote Moldovan wines and spirits on foreign markets.

The ProWein exhibition is regarded as one of the most important international platforms dedicated to the wine and spirits industry, bringing together thousands of producers and professionals from the field every year. The event offers major opportunities for promoting national brands, establishing commercial partnerships and strengthening relations with importers and distributors from around the world.

The participation of the Republic of Moldova in this exhibition is part of the strategy to promote Moldovan wines on foreign markets and to strengthen the country’s image as a producer of quality wines.

The Wine of Moldova stands will remain open to visitors until 17 March, offering tastings and direct meetings with the Moldovan producers present at the exhibition.
