Potato Autumn Festival held in Rascova, Criuleni
Chisinau, 11 October /MOLDPRES/- The fourth edition of the Potato Autumn Festival took place yesterday in Râşcova village, Criuleni district. The event included exhibitions with the sale of organically grown vegetables, as well as a series of seminars on potato cultivation.
The festival program included a fair of natural seeds and consultations on how to grow them; a guided tour of EcoVillage Moldova; opening the common kitchen in the Katalyst food business incubator; exhibition of organically grown potatoes and vegetables by producers from Râșcova; seminars on a sustainable lifestyle; mini-exhibition of potato varieties within the Râșcovean Potato project; potato snacks and autumn vegetables; the exhibition "Our everyday potato"; creative activities for children, etc.
"We celebrate the fruit, the naturally grown vegetables, the peasant and the glia. We wanted the event to be a breath of fresh air and good cheer, but also a support of the local producer, who needs help especially in this period of pandemic crisis, "said the organizers.
About 20 producers participated in the event, all activities taking place in compliance with epidemiological safety norms.
The festival was organized by EcoVisio, EcoVillage Moldova and Katalyst, with the support of IM Swedish Development Partner.
