
Moldova to participate in second semifinal at contest Eurovision 2019
Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ – The Moldovan representative will play at Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in the second semifinal, which will take place on 16 May in Tel Aviv, Israel. The order of entry of the competitors in the two semifinals was determined by the organisers of the European competition, by drawing lots.
According to eurovision.tv, along with the representative of Moldova, there will perform on the Tel Aviv stage singers from Switzerland, Sweden, Ireland, Austria, Latvia, Romania, Denmark, Armenia, Albania, Azerbaijan, Macedonia, Norway, Russia, Holland, Croatia, Lithuania and Malta.
The first Eurovision Song Contest semi – final will be held on 14 May. There will take part the representatives of Slovenia, Belarus, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Cyprus, Serbia, Finland, Poland, Hungary, Estonia, Portugal, San Marino, Iceland, Georgia, Australia, Belgium, Ukraine and Greece.
The representative of Moldova at Eurovision 2019 will be selected on 03 March, when there will be held the National Finals. There will perform 26 participants at the live auditions of the national selection of Eurovision 2019, which will take place on Saturday, 02 February. The parts of the contestants can be found on the website www.trm.md.
The 64th Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will take place in Tel Aviv, Israel.
In 2018, DoReDos band, which represented Moldova at the international Eurovision Song Contest, won the 10th place.
