New opportunities for cultural organizations of Moldova: open call for artistic residency projects under Culture Moves Europe

Cultural organizations of Moldova can benefit from new funding opportunities through the European programme, Culture Moves Europe, which has launched a call dedicated to hosts of artistic residencies. The call is open for Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

The initiative, funded by the European Union through the Creative Europe programme, provides financial support to legal entities willing to host between one and five artists or cultural professionals within residency projects meant to give them the opportunity to learn, create, explore, connect or transform.

Organizations registered in a country participating in the Creative Europe programme, including Moldova, may apply, provided they operate in one of the eligible fields: architecture, cultural heritage, design and fashion design, literature, music, performing arts and visual arts.

To submit their application, candidates must present a residency project concept that pursues at least two of the following goals: learning, creation, exploration, connection or transformation. At the same time, organizations must ensure adequate accommodation conditions, work spaces and at least one mentor to provide artistic guidance to the residents.

The residency grant covers both the host’s and the residents’ expenses. The host organization receives an allowance of 50 euros per day for each resident, as well as support for accessibility, if needed. Residents receive a daily allowance of 30 euros, reimbursement of travel expenses depending on distance and, where applicable, additional financial support for green mobility (400 euros), family (200 euros per child) and visa (120 euros).

The call is open as of 15 December 2025 till 16 March 2026, and all applications will be evaluated after the deadline.

The programme provides cultural organizations of Moldova with the opportunity to become hosts for international artists and to strengthen European cultural exchanges through residency projects.
