Year 2025 to be declared Year of Mihai Eminescu in Moldova
Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - The government today gave a positive note to a legislative initiative on the declaring of the 2025 year as year dedicated to the celebration of the work and personality of Mihai Eminescu, the government’s communication department has reported.
Thus, a string of actions and cultural events dedicated to marking the 175th anniversary of the poet’s birthday will be organized in the next year. The agenda includes congresses and educational events, a special edition of the World Congress of Researchers of Eminescu’s Works and the Summer School for young researchers.
Also, in 2025, new editions of Eminescu’s works will be published in the Romanian language and in another 85 languages in which the poet’s works were translated. At the same time, the post offices will print stamps and envelopes occasioned by the 175th birth anniversary of Mihai Eminescu.
Under the draft, the mass media will be encouraged to carry out a comprehensive campaign of covering the events organized on the occasion of the Mihai Eminescu’s Year.
