ANTA received one thousand additional transport permits for Lithuania
Chisinau, June 3 / MOLDPRES /- The National Motor Transport Agency (ANTA) has announced the receipt of an additional quota of one thousand authorizations for bilateral transport and transit of goods on the territory of Lithuania for 2022.
"The indicated quota has been included in the list of category III authorizations for the year 2022, in order to make rational use and ensure the efficient needs of the transport operators for a reasonable time. The decision was taken following the analysis of the use of authorizations by Moldovan transport operators ", ANTA said.
According to the institution, in 2021, the actual trained fleet that used the bilateral / transit Lithuania permits constitutes 247 trucks. "In the context of the emergency in the region, in order to carry out transit operations on the territory of Lithuania to the countries of Eastern Europe and the Russian Federation, bypassing the territory of Ukraine, for the current period it was estimated the use of over 1357 vehicles. Also, between 1 January and 24 February, 100 bilateral / transit Lithuania permits were issued, and between 25 February and 11 March, the requests of transport operators increased significantly, with 200 permits being issued. Thus, the quota received was included in the list of category III authorizations to avoid the risk of depletion of the stock in a short period of time ", according to ANTA.
Authorizations granted by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania shall be valid until 31 January 2023.
