ASD to set up blacklist of contractors carrying out work improperly
Chisinau, 28 October /MOLDPRES/- State Road Administration (ASD) management held a meeting today with contractors performing repair works on national roads, whose quality is at the limit of contractual requirements. During the meeting, the contractors were informed that the works will not be received, for which the results of the laboratory tests do not correspond to the reference norms.
ASD acting director-general Sergiu Bejan said that the economic agents possibly targeted use aggregates in which clay is present, this being the cause of the non-compliant absorption index in the tests performed.
"Works that have not been verified will not be accepted. It is impossible to have such results in laboratory tests, if you use quality materials and comply with the contractual requirements. I want ASD to talk about roads, not money. Things need to change, it is necessary to be transparent, fair and to eliminate corruption in this field in order to have quality roads ", Sergiu Bejan said.
In this context, the initiation of the procedure for drawing up a blacklist of contractors who improperly perform the works, so that they would not be admitted in the next public procurements, was also addressed.
