Energocom company to buy 311,000 MWh of electricity from Kuchurgan power station in next August. Price stays unchanged
Chisinau, 28 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Energocom company in next August will purchase 311,000 MWh of electricity from the Moldovan Power Plant (MGRES) of the Transnistrian region. The purchasing price of the electric energy generated by MGRS stays unchanged, taking into account that the procurement will be made based on the current contract, valid till September 2023.
According to the forecast on the consumption of electricity for the next month, unveiled by the provider of universal service of last resort and system operators, the overall volume forecast of the needed consumption on the right bank of Dniester in next August represents about 353,000 MWh. About 13,000 MWh of it will be supplied by urban heating power stations (CETs) and producers of energy from renewable sources (SER) and about 311,000 MWh of electric energy will be bought from MGRES, Energocom said.
The enterprise noted that the rest of the needed amount of electricity for August will be covered by the procurement from the Romanian exchange OPCOM.
Energocom forecast the purchasing of 314,000 MWh from MGRES for July; this quantity covers 98 per cent of the needed consumption of the right bank of Dniester.
In late last March, Energocom signed a new contract for half a year on the procurement of electric energy from the Moldovan Power Plant of the Transnistrian region. The price is 66 dollars/MWh.
