Expenses for organizing European Political Community Summit to be covered by state budget
Chisinau, April 27 /MOLDPRES/- Expenses for organizing the European Political Community Summit will be covered by the state budget. Part of the costs will be borne by the Council of the European Union. President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu made the statement today.
The President said that the information about the costs will be made public, and a good part of them are investments in projects that will benefit the citizens, including road repair and others.
"The summit represents an investment in the future of Moldova. All state institutions, at all levels, understand the value of this event. The success and pride of us, the Moldovans, following the summit depends on the contribution of each one of us, of all of us. The whole world will have the opportunity to see us as we are: humane, open-hearted, free-thinking and respectful towards those around us, confident in the future of our country. We will show that in the key moments of our history we know how to be united and brave. We have reason to be proud to host this historic meeting. In Paris, in Vienna, in Warsaw and in Rome, in all the capitals, the Republic of Moldova will soon be discussed. Bulboaca will become the Moldovan town that hosted 50 European presidents and prime ministers. From a gray area and unknown to many, Moldova will become the center of Europe on June 1. Let's all get involved to show that the Republic of Moldova is a democratic, solid, responsible state and dedicated to European integration. Moldova is a beautiful country. European Union will be richer with Moldova as part of it", the head of state said.
The European Political Community Summit will take place on 1 June at Castel Mimi winery in Bulboaca, Anenii Noi.
