Chisinau, 29 October /MOLDPRES/ - The negotiations between Moldova’s delegation and the Gazprom Concern have ended in St. Petersburg (Russia). The sides reached an agreement of principle on the formula of price, auditing of the debt created at the Moldovagaz company and the need of subsequent negotiations, in order to establish a calendar of payment, the Infrastructure and Regional Development Ministry has told MOLDPRES.
Under the agreement reached, the earlier contract between Gazprom and Moldovagaz is to be extended by five years, by using a price formula proposed by the Moldovan side.
„The gas deliveries according to the new contract are to start on 1 November 2021,’’ the quoted source said.
In October, Moldova received gas based on a prolongation of the contract with Gazprom by one month, in insufficient volume. The difference of volume on this period was purchased from the spot market, through the Energocom company, at market prices.
