
Chisinau, 19 April /MOLDPRES/ – Moldova and Belarus will continue to cooperate on various sectors, and it was signed today contract for purchase of more buses in Belarus. The announcement was made by Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, at a press conference held jointly with President of Belarus, Alexandr Lukashenko, being on a visit to Chisinau.
The two officials said that bilateral relations are warm, friendly and discussions of today have been fruitful.
"Belarus is a friendly country to Moldova and it is a trustful partner. There are more exact projects that have already been implemented and are under implementation. There were assembled over 120 trolleybuses within five years. At their turn, there follow the buses and it was signed today agreement of bus purchase from Belarus. The means of transport will be a mixed product here in Chisinau. It is a very clear and good way to use free trade agreement with EU so that buses are also exported to EU, this product being already of Moldovan origin but with roots in Belarus," said Filip.
The Prime Minister also noted good cooperation in the field of agriculture. "Together with our colleagues in Government we decided to make a dairy complex in Moldova, while locality being already identified in village Maximovca, Anenii Noi district. I have all the certainty that this project will be completed and it will be a model. We thank for permanent support and assistance given to Moldova, especially for agricultural machinery which was donated today," said Filip.
At his turn, Alexander Lukashenko remarked that Belarus is ready to convey to Moldova all experience it has. "Moldova is a reliable partner for us. We want to collaborate in the field of medicines, roads and specialists training. You can rely on us, we will achieve common agreements at highest level," said the official.
The President of Belarus, Alexandr Lukashenko, pays an official visit to Moldova on 18 – 19 April. During it, Lukashenko also had a meeting with head of state, Igor Dodon.
