German company opens modern fiberglass materials factory in central Moldova city

The German company BauTex Composites has opened a modern factory in Straseni, specializing in the production of fiberglass-based materials, achieved through an investment of over 20 million dollars.

The new production facility has already created over 250 jobs and is expected to generate approximately 200 more in the near future, significantly contributing to the economic development of the region and enhancing Moldova’s attractiveness for foreign investors.

The factory produces a wide range of materials meant for construction and high-performance industries.

“These include fiberglass meshes for facades and mosaics; Schleiftex fiberglass abrasive discs; meshes for Aquapanel panels; Phoenix technical fabrics for roofs and Laintex membranes; Ortex and Kanaltex composite fabrics, used in high-performance industrial fields,” said the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.

Company’s representatives emphasize that the investment not only brings modern technologies, but also new opportunities for the local community and the entire national economy. At the same time, the project contributes to strengthening the Moldova's position as a competitive partner on the global market of composite materials.
