Moldova Tourism Forum 2021 to be held in Chisinau on 27-28 May

Chisinau, 18 May /MOLDPRES/ - The Investments Agency organizes the Moldova Tourism Forum 2021 in Chisinau on 27-28 May.   
Contacted by MOLDPRES, the Investments Agency’s deputy director, Ion Iordachi, has said that the Tourism Forum 2021would establish the strategy of Moldova’s connection to the world tourism circuit, as well as the initiatives of tourism’s re-launch in line with the new health requirements.   
„The schedule of the two days of work will get out on the forefront case studies from the international experience, the good practices in the field and the successful regional initiatives, which can serve as models of adaptability, including for Moldova,’’ Iordachi also said.   
The official noted that honorary guests from the tourism sector would participate in the event. It is about the Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization Zurab Pololikashvili, as well as the representative of the office of the EU Commissioner for Transport and Tourism of the European Commission, Razvan Marc.   
The event will culminate with the awarding of prizes to ambassadors of the national tourism, newly come to the native tourism industry, as well as those who managed to transform the challenges of the tourism crisis into new development opportunities.  
According to the National Statistics Bureau, in 2020, only 124,000 Moldovans resorted to tourism agencies for a stay abroad, which is by over 70 per cent less than in 2019, when more than 360,000 Moldovans have their vacations abroad.
