Government to maintain state of emergency as long as situation requires, government spokesperson says
The state of emergency will be lifted as soon as all safety conditions are confirmed, according to Government spokesperson Daniela Crudu, who provided clarifications regarding the requests of several opposition parties to end the state of emergency, highlighting the Executive’s current actions in the energy sector.
According to the statement by Daniela Crudu, the Government has ensured the rapid reconnection of the Vulcănești–Isaccea power line. At present, the necessary technical tests for the full stabilization of the power system are underway, with the spokesperson emphasizing that this process requires rigor and time.
Regarding the duration of the exceptional measures, the Government representative said that the state of emergency will be lifted within a reasonable time frame, as soon as all safety conditions are confirmed. Daniela Crudu noted that the authorities’ priority remains energy security and the protection of citizens, noting that there is no intention to extend this state unless the situation genuinely requires it.
In line with the announcement previously made in Parliament, the Government is to present a comprehensive report on the actions undertaken throughout the entire duration of the state of emergency.
