Almost 24 thousand tons of gasoline and 3,300 tons of diesel imported into Moldova in last three days
Almost 24 thousand tons of gasoline and over 3,300 tons of diesel fuel were imported into the Republic of Moldova between March 27 and 29. The information was presented today by the Ministry of Energy.
As of March 27, fuel stocks amounted to 16 days of consumption for gasoline, 13.4 days for liquefied petroleum gas, and 6 days of diesel consumption.
Fuel stations are not allowed to refuse refueling vehicles; however, for the sale of petroleum products in jerry cans and mobile containers, a limit of 20 liters per person is applied.
According to the Government Decision approved on March 26, 2026, when calculating the maximum retail price for standard diesel, the National Agency for Energy Regulation will apply, for the duration of the state of emergency, the average value of the FOB Med Italy quotation for the previous 7 days, rather than for 14 days.
The authorities have encouraged car owners to use petroleum products rationally and to avoid purchases that are not strictly necessary.
