The acceleration of strategic investments in transport and infrastructure was the topic of Infrastructure Dialogue event, organized today by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (MIDR) at Digital Park, with the participation of entrepreneurs and representatives from associations in the sector.

The event was designed as a working and consulting platform focused on identifying concrete solutions for the efficient implementation of infrastructure projects, in a context marked by the advancing process of European integration of the Republic of Moldova and the increasing volume of public investments.

Opening the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Vladimir Bolea emphasized the importance of genuine dialogue with the private sector, oriented towards measurable results. According to the official, the development of infrastructure depends on correct decisions, functional procedures, and real partnerships between the state and entrepreneurs, capable of supporting the accelerated pace of investments.

"I firmly believe that infrastructure is not built on promises, but on correct decisions, clear rules, and honest partnerships. Therefore, today, in dialogue with entrepreneurs in the infrastructure segment and several associations in the country, I asked the private sector to tell us without euphemisms what works, where things get stuck, and what needs to change. The Republic of Moldova is entering an accelerated investment phase, in the light of European integration. Roads, railways, logistics, TEN-T connectivity – all these require speed, competence, and predictability. The state cannot deliver alone. The private sector is a strategic partner, not a supplier of convenience. I state openly: infrastructure can no longer be a subject of compromise. It is one of the most concrete forms of political responsibility. My role and that of the ministry is to guarantee legality, coherence, and continuity. We move forward with seriousness, with solid partnerships, and with a clear focus: the development of the Republic of Moldova", evaluated Vladimir Bolea.

To give more complexity to this dialogue, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugeniu Osmochescu was invited to join the discussions. The surprise moment was the greeting from Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, who present at another event, came to wish success to the entrepreneurs.

Mircea Păscăluţă, State Secretary of MIDR presented the general context of infrastructure investments, highlighting the progress made in road, rail, air, and naval transport, as well as in the digitalization of services. At the same time, the structural blockages affecting project implementation and the essential role of the private sector in delivering these projects, through technical expertise, operational efficiency, innovation, and better risk distribution, were pointed out.

The discussion panels were dedicated to the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in carrying out infrastructure projects, addressing topics such as public procurement procedures, clarity of the regulatory framework, execution timelines, inter-institutional collaboration, and the need for more efficient public-private partnership mechanisms, including in the perspective of aligning with European Union standards.

A distinct element of the event was the conduct of a live survey, through which participants conveyed, in real-time, the needs and proposals of the business environment. The collected data will be used by MIDR to adjust planning, contracting, and project implementation policies and procedures.

For 2025–2026, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development has set priorities for delivering projects at an advanced stage of execution, launching major projects with strategic and cross-border impact, aligning to European Union standards, strengthening TEN-T connections, and developing logistics hubs and multimodal terminals.
