RCA, Green Card policies cheaper by 15 per cent today
Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/- Today, drivers will pay less for mandatory insurance policies - RCA and Green Card. They will be cheaper by 15 percent.
Thus, if until now the RCA cost 766 lei, then today it will be cheaper by 115 lei and will cost 651 lei.
The price may vary according to the locality where the car is registered (the most expensive taxes are in Chisinau) and the driver's experience.
According to a decision of the National Commission of Financial Market, recently published in the Official Journal of Moldova, the compulsory foreign car insurance for Zone 1 (Ukraine and Belarus) will be reduced by five euros and will cost 33 euros for one year. For Zone 2 (Ukraine, Belarus and the Russian Federation) it will amount to 224 euros, compared to 261 euros as it is today. For Zone 3 (all countries of the International Green Card Insurance System), the insurance price will be lower by 88 euros and will cost 498 euros per year.
Prices have changed since the legislative amendments came into force, stipulating that insurance intermediaries are forbidden to collect commissions on the intermediation of compulsory insurance contracts for domestic and foreign motor vehicle liability.
