Widespread raids across Moldova: National Anticorruption Centre, Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office conduct over 30 searches in files on illegal financing of political party
Officers from the National Anti-Corruption Center (CNA), together with prosecutors from the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (PA), today morning conducted over 30 searches in various locations across Moldova.
According to the CNA, the actions were part of a criminal file on the acceptance of illegal financing of a political party by an organized crime ring.
Following the raids, documents, rough copies, mobile phones and financial resources were seized, according to the cited source.
The CNA said that investigations were ongoing, in order to establish all circumstances and gather the necessary evidence for taking a legal decision.
