TOP ACHIEVEMENTS 2025 // Moldovan deputy PM says 2025 year of performance for Moldova's economy
The year 2025 was one of performance for the economy of Moldova, reaching a record level of digitalization of public services and doubling the number of enterprises benefiting from grants. Deputy Prime Minister, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu has made statements to this effect in an exclusive interview for MOLDPRES. The minister talked about the main achievements of the year that is ending, emphasizing that cooperation with the European Union had been boosted.
"We reached a record level of digitalization of public services meant for the business environment, practically doubled the number of enterprises benefiting from grants through the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA), simplified the business administration process by canceling or improving over 80 permissive acts, an effect that will be felt by the business environment starting from the beginning of 2026, boosted cooperation with the European Union and recorded accelerated growth of electronic commerce," Eugeniu Osmochescu said.
At the same time, the official emphasized the launch, in 2025, of the National Programme for Accession to the European Union for 2025-2029, which outlines the strategic direction of the country’s economic development in the coming years.
Moreover, according to the minister, between January and September 2025, the volume of investments in fixed assets increased by 17 per cent, with the greatest contribution to this development being generated by the own investments of economic agents, which recorded a growth of 19.8 per cent, due to the promotion of investment stimulation policies.
"Investments by economic agents in machinery, equipment and tools will increase the productive capacity of the economy, accelerate the modernization of technological processes, stimulate labor productivity growth and contribute to strengthening external competitiveness," said the economy minister.
Deputy Prime Minister Eugeniu Osmochescu emphasized that, for 2026, the government's priorities were strengthening economic institutions, transforming ODA into a Development Bank, operationalizing the Fund of Funds, developing industrial and technological parks, attracting international investors and speeding up the absorption of European funds.
"In parallel, we will continue reducing bureaucracy and fully digitalizing the economy, to transform Moldova into a competitive, modern environment, ready for full integration into the European market," said the official.
