Vouchers of up to 6,000 lei for another 336 families who purchased new household appliances

Another 336 families in the Republic of Moldova have received vouchers worth up to 6,000 lei to replace their old household appliances with new, energy-efficient ones. The support was provided during a new session of the EcoVoucher Program, held between 12–28 June 2026 with the support of the European Union.

According to data from the National Center for Sustainable Energy, during this session the beneficiaries purchased 173 refrigerators and 163 washing machines. Each voucher has a value of 6,000 lei and covers up to 70% of the cost of the new appliance. In return, beneficiaries handed in an old piece of equipment for recycling.

All products purchased meet energy efficiency criteria and European conformity standards (CE). Beneficiaries were able to acquire refrigerators in energy classes A, B, C and D, as well as washing machines in energy class A. Among the beneficiaries of the current session are 244 families with minor children, 56 people over the age of 63, and 36 people with severe disabilities. Program beneficiaries are identified based on eligibility criteria and data registered on the platform compensatii.gov.md.

The EcoVoucher Program was developed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova with the support of the European Union. This edition of the Household Appliance Voucher Program is implemented by the National Center for Sustainable Energy within the project “Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energies for Moldova” (E4M). E4M is a project implemented by GIZ together with the Government of the Republic of Moldova, financed by the Government of Germany and co-financed by the European Union, Norway and Denmark.
