
European Investments of 70 million lei for modernization of central district of Moldova
Approximately 70 million lei will be invested in the central Nisporeni district this year, for the implementation of projects with European funding, that will contribute to the modernization of infrastructure and improvement of citizens' lives.
Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov today went to Nisporeni, where she discussed with citizens the European path of Moldova. During discussions with local authorities, Gherasimov highlighted the benefits of the European support.
"I met with mayors, with whom I discussed the efforts we are making as a country to advance in our European journey. Thanks to investments in recent years, people in many settlements of the district enjoy more illuminated streets, aqueducts, sewerage networks, water-purifying stations, renovated cultural institutions and modern medical services," said Cristina Gherasimov.
Thanks to European projects, citizens of several localities of the Nisporeni district already benefit from public lighting, water and sewerage networks, water purification stations, renovated educational and cultural institutions, as well as modern medical services. During the visit, the deputy PM also discussed the benefits of European integration with the students of Boris Cazacu Theoretical Lyceum in Nisporeni.
"I was pleased to learn how curious, active, informed and involved the young people from Nisporeni are," said Cristina Gherasimov.
