Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, students from France discuss European path of Moldova
The transformations the Republic of Moldova is undergoing on its European path, as well as the benefits of joining the European Union in the current geopolitical context were discussed during a public lecture delivered by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov at the International Center for European Training in Nice.
The official spoke to students about the developments the country is experiencing in the process of moving closer to the European Union and about the challenges the state is facing in the current regional context. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the experience of the Republic of Moldova, including its resilience in the face of challenges, has become a subject of study in educational institutions across Europe.
“I spoke about the transformations the country is undergoing on its European path, as well as about the benefits of joining the EU in the current geopolitical context. For us, belonging to the great European family means security, development, and prosperity for citizens,” stated Cristina Gherasimov.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the determination of the Republic of Moldova to be part of the European space reflects society’s aspirations to consolidate democracy, stability, and long-term prosperity. The public lecture took place within the framework of academic activities organized by the European studies institution in France.
