
Moldovan deputy PM, EU Enlargement Commissioner discuss Moldova's European agenda in Brussels
The developments on the European agenda and the preparations for the official signing of the Growth Plan for Moldova have been discussed in Brussels by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov and European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos.
Also, during the visit to Brussels, the officials discussed organizational aspects concerning the second visit to Moldova by Marta Kos, scheduled for May 9-11.
“We also finalized several details regarding the Commissioner's second visit to Moldova, due on May 9-11, when she will visit settlements in the north, center, and south of the country, in order to better understand our towns and cities, customs and people,” Cristina Gherasimov wrote on her Facebook page.
Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov is in Brussels, in the context of the assessment of Chapter 29 of the EU accession process, dedicated to the Customs Union. The meeting was held with the participation of representatives of Moldova and the European Commission, as part of the bilateral screening on this chapter.
During the visit, Cristina Gherasimov also participated in the international conference, A New Joint Chapter for EU Enlargement, organized at an invitation f by the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, the second-largest political group in the European Parliament.
