Chisinau, 6 July /MOLDPRES/ - The Barza Albă enterprises from the Balti city, with a history of almost 80 years in producing brandies, will receive the status of object of the cultural national heritage of Moldova. The cabinet today approved a decision to this end, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

The assets of the enterprise, the tasting rooms will become object of the cultural national heritage, except for the equipment for the production of brandies and the maturing brandies or the deposited ones. At the same time, the enterprise’s movable securities will be included in the register of Moldova’s monuments protected by the state.

The assigning of the status of object of the cultural national heritage has the goal to preserve for the current and next generations the cultural and landscape complexes of national importance, to promote and turn to them good account in terms of tourism.

At the same time, the government recommends the inclusion of the Barza Albă stock company in the list of assets non-liable to privatization and reestablishment of the exclusive right to use the Barza Albă trademark.

The Barza Albă stock company will become the third wine-making enterprise – national heritage of Moldova following the Cricova wine-making enterprise and Milestii Mici Enterprise for Production of Quality Wines.
