Diaspora relations office announces new round of grants under Moldovan government programme Diaspora Engagement Hub

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ – The Diaspora relations office (BRD) within the State Chancellery announces a new round of grants under the government programme Diaspora Engagement Hub (DEH). The aim of the programme is to support Moldovans from abroad in implementing their ideas in Moldova and highlight the human capital of Diaspora, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Diaspora Engagement Hub includes three sub – programmes supporting: regional thematic partnerships (3 grants of MDL 93,956.50), empowerment of Diaspora women (5 grants of MDL 93,986.50) and professional return of Diaspora.

DEH is a thematic grant programme for Moldovan citizens living abroad and is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SADC) within project: Strengthening the institutional capacity of Moldova in the field of migration and development in Phase II.

The application deadline is 08 December 2017 – 28 February 2018. The deadline for project implementation (including final reporting) – 31 August 2018. The evaluation of the submitted projects will take place in March 2018.
