Moldovan foreign affairs ministry says road Moldova goes way of accession to European Union
Chisinau, 2 February /MOLDPRES/ - The spokesman for the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), Daniel Voda, has given a commentary on statements about Moldova by Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov, made in an interview given with a TV station from Russia, the MAEIE press service reported.
The commentary reads:
„We categorically turn down the statements by the Russian diplomacy head, which are not true and are part of the threatening rhetoric of the Russian diplomacy, which is already well-known.
We remind to the Russian side that the road Moldova goes is the way of accession to the European Union. This is the country project backed by the citizens. Moldova, as a state, and the Moldovans, no matter their political or geopolitical preferences, want Peace, Freedom and Democracy. We will appreciate the observance of our people’s decision by all countries of the world, including Russia.
Moldova has chosen its future and this future is part of the free world,’’ the spokesman for MAEIE, Daniel Voda, said.
