Moldovan parliament speaker meets new director of Swiss Cooperation Office
Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has had a welcome meeting with new Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office/Representative Office of the Embassy of Switzerland in Moldova, Mr. Richard Kohli.
The discussion focused, in particular, on the Strengthening Parliamentary Democracy in Moldova (PADEM) project, launched in 2025, which has already produced results, including training for MPs and civil servants, support for the ex-ante and ex-post assessment of legislation, the development of a new framework for the organization and work of parliament, the modernization of IT infrastructure and live broadcasting facilities, among others.
Igor Grosu thanked Switzerland for the past 25 years of close cooperation. Switzerland is one of Moldova’s most constant development partners, having provided approximately 5 billion lei over the years in the form of non-reimbursable grants for healthcare, governance, economic development and local public services.
