Moldovan president has meeting with new Head of OSCE Mission to Moldova
President Maia Sandu today met Christopher Smith, the new Head of the OSCE Mission to Moldova. The discussion focused on the peaceful reintegration of the country and regional security.
Chisinau’s priorities remain maintaining stability and security amid Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and hybrid attacks, as well as gradual and sustainable reintegration, by bringing citizens from the Transnistrian region closer to Moldova and through sectoral reintegration.
The Moldovan president highlighted the role of the OSCE Mission in facilitating dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol, improving the human rights situation and ensuring the right to study in Romanian. The head of state congratulated Christopher Smith on his appointment and wished him success in his new mandate.
