Moldovan president pays tribute to people who defended Moldova's Independence
President Maia Sandu, on the occasion of the Independence Day, together with the parliament speaker and the prime minister of the Moldova, today morning paid tribute to those who had defended the freedom, independence and sovereignty of the country.
The top leadership of the state laid flowers at the Grieving Mother monument at the Eternity Memorial Complex, as well as at the monument of Ruler Stephen the Great and Holy.
The events dedicated to Independence Day will continue throughout the day, with President of Romania Nicusor Dan and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy expected to arrive in Chisinau.
