
Moldovan president congratulates national Police employees on 34th anniversary of institution's foundation
Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today participated in a ceremony dedicated to the National Police Day. The head of state congratulated the National Police employees and thanked them for professionalism and devotion, the presidential press service has reported.
„The police was in the first line, helped manage calamities, combat the criminality and defend citizens’ rights. They fought against the attacks on Moldova’s democracy and defended our European way. We are also proud of the contribution of our officers to the ensuring of security at the Olympic Games in France,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
The head of state also said that, due to the dedication and work of policemen and policewomen, the people of Moldova enjoy more safety and peace. ‘’Dear policemen and policewomen, we are grateful to you for your efforts and for the courage with which you serve the country,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
