Government to continue to support war veterans
Prime Minister Dorin Recean met with representatives of war veterans' associations from the Republic of Moldova. The dialogue focused on the benefits brought by the War Veterans Law adopted in 2024, as well as future priorities for protecting veterans' rights.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the authorities will continue to support war veterans, and to create an efficient consultation mechanism and respond promptly to their needs, by 1 October, the Veteran Affairs Office will be established and operational.
The official also expressed gratitude for the support given by the war veterans to Moldova's European path and for their efforts to modernize the state.
"You know better than anyone how important it is to maintain peace in our country and to protect the freedom and values for which fighting took place more than three decades ago. Moldova grows through memory and respect for those who defended it, but also through a future in peace for all citizens. Together we will continue to defend the truth and the unity of our people," said Recean.
