
Moldovan president pays working visit to United Kingdom
President Maia Sandu on July 23-24 pays a working visit to the United Kingdom, in order to deepen the bilateral relations between the two countries. The head of state will have an audience with His Majesty King Charles III and will hold discussions with other high-ranking British officials. At the same time, the Moldovan president will meet Diaspora in Northampton, a city in central England, which has an active Moldovan community contributing significantly to the region's social and economic life.
This visit aims to strengthen the partnership between Moldova and the UK, based on cooperation in such areas as economic development, strengthening the rule of law, fighting corruption and national security.
The United Kingdom is an important supporter of Moldova's European path and an active partner in promoting democratic reforms and the country's resilience to external threats. During meetings, President Maia Sandu will discuss with British officials the expanding Moldovan exports, attracting investments and continuing support for strengthening democratic institutions and the state's capacity to respond to regional challenges.
