Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Energy Efficiency Agency launches a study titled, Assessment of market and identification of the best technologies for implementation of projects on renewable energy through turning to account the solar energy’s potential.
The study comes as a continuation of the Agency’s activities initiated with the support of development agencies, focused on the promotion of technologies on turning to account of the solar energy’s potential in Moldova.
The study analyzed and found out the preparation of the legislative, institutional and administrative framework in the sector of energy efficiency and renewable energy, to implement investment projects in the aforementioned field. The legislation needed for investment projects is worked out, approved and functional, which means that, from the administrative viewpoint, the projects’ implementation is easy to carry out.
While analyzing the market, decision-makers identified technologies necessary for the production of energy from renewable sources, especially the solar one on the local market. Statistics data at import shows a fluctuation, depending on the demand on market on the specific sectors.

It is worth mentioning that the Energy Efficiency Agency is the administrative authority subordinated to the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry and has the mission to implement the state policy in the energy efficiency field, energy performance of buildings, as well as turning to account of renewable energy sources, including through the attraction and management of financial resources, in order to finance projects in the concerned sectors sustainably from the viewpoint of the environment and climate changes.
