Moldovan head of state to host president of Albania in Chisinau

President Maia Sandu on January 19 in Chisinau will host President of Albania Bajram Begaj, who will pay an official visit to Moldova on January 18–20, at the invitation by the head of state.

The agenda of the discussions between the two presidents will focus on deepening the bilateral cooperation, strengthening economic ties, as well as mutual support in the process of accession to the European Union.

Albania, like Moldova, is a candidate country for accession to the European Union. The visit of the Albanian president to Chisinau aims to consolidate cooperation and the exchange of experience in the European integration process of both states.

The two leaders will make press statements starting at 11:25. Media representatives are invited between 10:55 and 11:15 to the Presidential Administration (Stefan cel Mare Boulevard 154, entrance from Maria Cebotari Street). Access will be granted based on accreditation.
