Head of State to visit Cyprus

The Presidency of the Republic of Moldova

President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu will pay an official visit to the Republic of Cyprus on 12 December. Cyprus will assume the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2026.

The head of state will be hosted by President Nikos Christodoulides and will also meet with President of the House of Representatives Annita Demetriou. Discussions will focus on the European path of the Republic of Moldova and the next steps in the EU accession process. Additionally, opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation will be addressed.
