Andrian Popescu - new Consul General of Moldova in Milan

Chisinau, Dec 31 /MOLDPRES/- Andrian Popescu will become Consul General of the Republic of Moldova in Milan, Italy, on 1 January 2025.

According to the Foreign Ministry, Popescu is a career diplomat with over 19 years of experience in the field. He began his career in 2005 in the European integration department, specializing later in the consular field.

Between 2006-2020 he held several positions in the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Moldova in Warsaw (2006-2009), Tel Aviv (2011-2014) and Rome (2016-2020).

In Italy the diplomat was deputy permanent representative and alternate permanent representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Fund for Agricultural Development and the UN Food Program.
