DOC // Deadline for submitting bids in privatization of Zarea hotel extended
The deadline for the privatization tender of Zarea hotel has been extended until October 20, according to a decision by the Public Property Agency published today in the Official Journal. Initially, the deadline for submitting bids was set for August 19.
The extension of the tender was requested by Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, who asked the Public Property Agency to examine the possibility of prolonging the period for conducting the procedure.
According to the prime minister, the privatization of such an important asset should not take place in the middle of the summer season, when the holiday period could reduce the number of potential interested investors and, consequently, the competition between bids.
The extension of the deadline aims to ensure a more transparent and competitive process, as well as to increase the chances of obtaining the most advantageous price for the state.
Thus, investors interested in Zarea hotel will have additional time to prepare and submit their bids.
