Austria's Federal Minister for European and International Affairs to visit Chișinău

Austria's Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger will pay a working visit to Chișinău on 19-21 August.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Austria through official meetings and joint projects in the areas of European diplomacy, as well as economic and social cooperation.

The agenda of the visit includes a meeting between the Austrian official and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi. They will hold a joint press conference on 21 August from 10:05 to 10:30, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Additionally, Beate Meinl-Reisinger will meet with head of state Maia Sandu and Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov.

This will be the first working visit of Beate Meinl-Reisinger to Chișinău.

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the Republic of Austria were established on 25 March 1992.
