Deputy Prime Minister to attend Sir Bani Yas Forum
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi will participate on December 12–14 in Sir Bani Yas Forum 2025, one of the most important international strategic dialogue events, held annually in the United Arab Emirates. The participation takes place at the invitation of the UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
The official's agenda includes a bilateral meeting with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, during which the current status and prospects of Moldovan-UAE relations will be discussed. The program also includes meetings with representatives of other partner states, aiming to promote the interests of the Republic of Moldova and deepen foreign cooperation.
On August 4, 2025, Mihai Popșoi and his Emirati counterpart signed the Agreement on the Abolition of the Visa Regime between the Republic of Moldova and the United Arab Emirates. Additionally, the Memorandum on Mutual Recognition and Conversion of Driving Licenses is in the final stages of signing.
Sir Bani Yas Forum annually brings together ministers, high-ranking officials, and leaders of international institutions for discussions on major global and regional challenges.
