Eight new lawmakers start mandate Moldova's parliament
Eight new parliamentarians today started their mandate in the legislative body of Moldova. Five of them will be members of Action and Solidarity Party’s (PAS) political faction.
Thus, the PAS faction will include lawyer Vladimir Rusu. Four other deputies are returning for a second mandate Ana Oglinda (pediatrician), Vasile Portevschi (educator), Oleg Canatui (technological engineer) and Efimia Bandalac (lawyer).
The Our Party’s faction will be represented by Constantin Cuiumju and Nicolae Margarint, both serving their first term, with studies in engineering and law.
The Alternative bloc welcomes a new member, Angela Cutasevici, an educator by profession and former deputy mayor of the Chisinau municipality of during 2019-2025.
The mandates of the new MPs were validated, after the parliament had acknowledged the resignation of eight parliamentarians who continued their activities in other positions. During the plenary session, the new deputies were assigned to standing committees, friendship parliamentary groups and the delegations of Moldova’s parliament to international and bilateral organizations.
