Moldovan president, PM of Greece discuss energy cooperation

President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis. The officials discussed ways to deepen the cooperation in energy and economic sectors, as well as ensuring the well-being of the Moldovan community in Greece.

The head of state said that Moldova appreciated Greece's support on the European path.

“A productive discussion with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Moldova appreciates Greece's support for our European path. We also discussed ways to deepen cooperation in the energy and economic sectors, as well as ensuring the well-being of our large community in Greece,” said Maia Sandu.

President Maia Sandu today is participating in the Congress of the European People's Party in Spain. On the sidelines of the event, the official has scheduled several meetings with European leaders. One of the first discussions took place with the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy Antonio Tajani, followed by a meeting with new Chancellor of Austria Christian Stocker.

Also at the event, President Maia Sandu delivered a speech. The president has on the agenda meetings with European leaders, heads of state and government, in order to strengthen political support for Moldova's accession to the European Union. Other priorities include economic cooperation and deepening bilateral relations with partner countries.
