BUDGET PLUS // Over 133 thousand beneficiaries collected Easter aid
133,845 beneficiaries have already collected the one-off payments of 1,500 lei and 5,000 lei, granted under the support package Easter Assistance for Families. Minister of Labor and Social Protection Alexei Buzu made the statement today.
These payments were made possible thanks to support from the European Union.
The assistance will reach over 230,000 families. The money is transferred to the existing social card, where beneficiaries already receive certain social benefits, or to another bank card identified by the Government, which is used by beneficiaries and included in the databases of the National Social Insurance House.
Additionally, if the beneficiaries do not have any social card or bank card, the money can be collected at post offices. For citizens abroad, the payment will be available until the end of the year.
According to the relevant authorities, the total value of this Easter aid is 470 million lei, money granted under the Budget +Plus project. Over 203,000 families with children up to five years old will benefit from assistance of 1,500 lei. Additionally, 11,500 families raising children with disabilities and 20,976 families supporting adults with severe disabilities will receive 5,000 lei each.
