ARSENAL operation: Over 13,800 gun owners checked
On March 10-21, 2025, law enforcement conducted the special operation ARSENAL. During the operation, 13,864 gun owners were checked, and 1,011 reports were made.
According to the police, following the inspections, 188 guns and 661 pieces of ammunition were seized. Additionally, 76 guns and 152 pieces of ammunition were seized following the death of the owners.
Moreover, 171 guns and 189 pieces of ammunition were voluntarily surrendered to the State Commission for the Evaluation, Rewarding, and Disposing of Weapons.
Another 44 guns, 4,934 pieces of ammunition, two barrels, two mechanisms, three grenades, and one grenade detonator were voluntarily handed over to the authorities.
The National Police reminds all gun owners of the importance of complying with the legal framework and encourages them to actively collaborate with the authorities for maintaining public safety.
