
Moldovan president meets Austria's new Chancellor
President Maia Sandu today met Austria's new Chancellor Christian Stocker. The two officials agreed on the importance of Moldova’s European future.
‘’I am pleased to meet Austria's Chancellor Christian Stocker. We agreed on the importance of Moldova's European future and strengthening our cooperation in various fields, including development and security,’’ said Maia Sandu.
President Maia Sandu today is participating in the European People's Party Congress in Spain. On the sidelines of the event, the official has scheduled several meetings with European leaders. One of the first discussions took place with Italy's Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani.
At the same time, at the event, President Maia Sandu is to give a speech and have meetings with European leaders, heads of state and government, in order to strengthen political support for Moldova's accession to the European Union. Other priorities include economic cooperation and deepening bilateral relations with partner countries.
