Romania is Moldova’s main strategic partner and the most devoted supporter of our European path. We want to deepen this relationship. Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, on a visit to Bucharest today, has made statements to this effect.
PM Vasile Tofan is accompanied on his first foreign visit, undertaken to Bucharest, by Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Bolea and Energy Minister Dorin Junghietu.
During the visit, the sides will consider concrete projects in the fields of economy, infrastructure, energy, security, education and culture.
“I am happy to be in Bucharest, together with Ministers Vladimir Bolea and Dorin Junghietu, for my first official visit as Prime Minister. Romania is Moldova’s main strategic partner and the most devoted supporter of our European path. We want to deepen this relationship. Today, we are discussing concrete projects in the economy, infrastructure, energy, security, education and culture,” announced Vasile Tofan.
This is Prime Minister Vasile Tofan’s first foreign visit since taking office. The agenda includes meetings with Romania’s interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, President Nicusor Dan and the parliament’s leadership.
The government led by Vasile Tofan was sworn in a week ago, on July 22, based on the vote of confidence given by the parliament on July 21.
