Students from Moldova to be able to pursue European master’s programme, developed together with universities of France, Italy, Estonia

Students from Moldova will be able to pursue a European master’s programme in European Affairs, developed together with universities from France, Italy and Estonia. The opportunity will be offered starting with the 2027–2028 academic year.

The master’s programme, EU-MOLDOVA Master's Programme in European Affairs (INTEGRA), is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme, with approximately two million euros.

Graduates of the new programme will have knowledge about the working of European institutions, EU policies and legislation, the process of negotiating and implementing reforms, the management of European projects and international cooperation.

Three of the four semesters of the master’s programme – I, III and IV – will take place in Moldova, jointly organized by the Academy of Ecopnomic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) and Moldovan State University (USM), with the involvement of professors from the partner universities. The second semester will be carried out at one of the universities in Strasbourg, Padua or Tartu.

The initiative is developed by the Education and Research Ministry, the ASEM and the USM, in partnership with the University of Strasbourg (France), the University of Padua (Italy) and the University of Tartu (Estonia).

Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun said that, through this programme, young people from Moldova would have access to an authentic European academic experience. They will study according to the standards of European universities, will learn alongside professors from three EU member states and will graduate from a programme recognized at the European level.

“We need a new generation of specialists who understand the mechanisms of the European Union and who can contribute to the modernization of state institutions and to the European path of Moldova,” the minister said.

The programme will comply with the standards of the European Higher Education Area and will be evaluated by an international accreditation agency.
